This number seemed to be connected to a recorded voice saying my Amazon account had been accessed and a purchase made for around £1200, asked me to press 1 to speak to an agent.I suspected it was a scam, hung up and checked my Amazon account online. I revealed nothing untoward so my suspicion of a phishing scan was justified.An hour or two later I got the same message on a different number, Following that I only answered calls from known numbers in my contacts identified by caller display and let all others go to my answer machine, I noted further calls disconnected when the answer machine picked up.

Said they were from Microsoft and asking if I was the owner of the computer in the house - because I kept asking what they were calling for they got very angry and asked me why I talked so much and told me to get lost.....scam obviously !!!!
