They are an absolute pain in the backside. Surely if it's a call centre renting out local numbers to call folk with sales calls when they are registered with telephone preference service then not only are they breaking the law but whoever is renting them the number is also.
This number calls at least twice every day it has the same code as me but never answer as I have caller display and don't recognise that number it's just a constant nuisance.
3 nuisance calls various times of day. When we answer no one on line! We have the telephone preference service but doesn't block this nuisance number!
Keeps repeatedly calling despite caller block
nuisance calls. they call every night ,but don,t speak. they are crafty obtaining a local dialling code to dupe you into thinking its a local person calling you.
Allegedly free solar energy too busy to listen
Looks like a local number but when called back it is automated voice advising " your call is very important to us, please stay on line and you will be transferred to next available agent". Ten minutes later still listening to same music and message.
Keeps ringing won't leave a message tried to call back as it looked like a local number just put in a queue. Very annoying. We've missed calls from this number every night for about two weeks now.
One of the growing number of companies who are appearing to come from local numbers when thier not. In this case one of these "Free Energy, Goverment Solar Panels free cash muppets" claiming to be "The Government Energy Agency". After grilling the caller for 20 minutes he finally gave up and put the phone down after the twisting and turning of my time wasting antics.
This number is most likely a soft-hire, which means it's rented temporarily for the purposes of making calls look like they come from a local company and will be disposed with and put back into the free number pool once finished with. The number most likley does not actually belong to the calling company, but to a comms provider renting number ranges out to call centers.
