A woman with an accent that was not English called to say that I had been selected through the Post Code Lottery to receive a Discount card which could be used at the big supermarkets. Having had an identical call recently, I said 'I suppose you're going to ask me for my account number, to which she replied 'did I say that?' I explained that I had had a similar call before', and she proceeded to ask me again if she had said that. I asked why she was interrogating me when it was she that called, and she then twice called me a vile name. I replied 'no you are' and ended the call.

Plausible, but for the accent of the lady. She had our postcode. Told me we had won a discount card, givving us 40-50% off supermarket spend!! Also we had won a 15 day vacation. Lady then wanted to know our ages. I told her I wasn't going to do that and she put the phone down! Dangerous. In this environment we are in at the moment, a lot of people could be taken in by the cal.
