I am sick of getting calls from this number , supposed to be an updated telephone preference service , I told them again today that I wasn't interested but they called back about an hour later, I've had to put my phone on answer machine !
Indian sounding accent, first a male saying he was calling about nuisance calls, I hung up. Second call was a female an hour later, same message but asking me to confirm address and postcode, I hung up. Third call when I answered they put the phone down. They themselves are nuisance calls obviously trying to scam.
Sick of getting these call from foreign sounding people claiming to be from the BT preference service - of which I'm a member! I won't be responsible for what I say to the next caller!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This number called me about 10 times In the last two days. I usually ignore the call but decided to answer as I was so fed up with being pestered. A;foreign lady answered and said her name was Nancy and she was ringing to advise about blocking nuisance calls. I told her I wAs registered with Telephone Preference and not to bother me again. She denied she had previously rang in the past. If you have caller display I would advise to ignore the calls.
Rang 5 times on Friday ,asked if I get nuisence calls , said he was calling from BT , asked me to confirm name and address and postcode , then tolfd me I played by DD , which I said no , I paid with cheque , he told me a account number , could I confirm it , I couldn't remember it , so he said would I go and get my cheque book to confirm it, I just said yes would , then put the phone down , he rang back 4 times within 5 minutes , I didn't answer , did 1471 to confirm it was him , then later that day a lady rang on the same number , and I get it with nobody speaking .
Has called our landline 12 times today. We have a callblocker so never answered it but still a nuisance.
Thirteen calls received today from this number. Picked up twice but just heard click and then silence. This caller never leaves a message.
Claimed to be upgrade to telephone preference. Had my name and address then asked me to confirm my card number . At that point I hung up.
8 silent calls today
Said his name was David...a foreigner who couldn't speak english properly...he asked me if i was getting nuisance calls...i replied YES !!! He said they were there to block these calls....i don 't think !!! They were probably trying to find a way round to get money out of me ...and i told him to leave me alone and i called him a scammer...he said he was not and slammed the phone down quickly...that phone number has rang several times today
Have received three calls since I came home and my wife says she has had eight calls today. Indian lady claims to be representing telephone protection callers and asked me to confirm my postcode. At this point I threatened to call the police if the calls continued and put the phone down. Then checked the net and see that this is going on all the time. Theses people need to be traced and stopped
