01680754832 12.01 Was the first one was from a female, claiming she was from ‘Amazon renewals’, and saying she was helping me to cancel my prime membership subscription, and that a payment of £79.99 had been taken from my bank today. She said if I wanted to cancel it, she would help me to get it refunded. She was very keen for me to get on line and to download an app for her to use in order to reclaim my subscription.
I felt uncomfortable when she became very impatient agitated with me for being too slow, and rudely demanded me to download a ‘Team reviewer Quick support app’ onto my iPad, and to give her the code number it produced.
Unfortunately, it was only after giving her this number the penny dropped so I hung up the phone.
After which, I received all the four further similar calls, which were now being blocked by my phone.
Had I checked my Amazon Prime account before carrying bout her instructions, it would have been obvious to me that the account doesn’t lapse until later on this year, and, that the subscription hasn’t been taken from my account. So, I can only assume I have been scammed
