I answered the phone at my elderly mother’s house. He said he was called Kevin (Asian accent) and asked me to switch the computer on (she had no computer). I asked why and was told there were problems with the internet. I asked who he worked for and he said Microsoft. I told him I did not believe him and he called me a MF. I very politely suggested that his customer service training was a little lacking and he should have some more. Called me a MF again. When I laughed at this and he hung up. My mother has mild alhzeimers and has fallen for these scams before so I took her computer away - so now she realises they are scams. iPad does the job for her and she hasn’t been tricked since into giving up card details.

My elderly parents have often told me they receive many phone calls from someone wanting to fix their computer - even though they don't have one! I happened to answer one of these calls today and a man told me he was calling from Microsoft regarding a problem he had identified with my computer. I told him we didn't have a computer and so I suspected him of calling for fraudulent purposes but he persisted with his line of conversation. Eventually he ended the call by saying he would block my computer access to Microsoft because I had called him a liar ...even though I had told him at least three times we had no computer. This man wasn't polite or apologetic at all and I imagine he might be quite persistant/persuasive if he had called someone who actually possessed a computer.

Continual calls from this and other numbers....Very annoying. Hope people are getting wise to the scams. It’s satisfying to tell them you’re aware that it’s not genuine..reactions from the callers have included “outrageous!” And spiteful, “well, lose your connection, then!”😉

Received a call from this number, Indian guy saying he was called Alex from Microsoft and there's a problem with my computer. I told him I don't have a computer so he asked if I have a laptop again I said no and he cut me off. Haha!
I know Microsoft don't make calls so I knew it was a scam but it annoys me that people might call for this kind of scam.
