Had call on another number as with other reports purporting to be from Amazon verification re unauthorised purchase and seeking access access to PC. Very persistent bordering on access. Eventually rang off almost immediately her "supervisor" phoned on this number to continue the process before eventually ringing off.

Lady phoned to say someone had bought a smartphone from Amazon at 08.00 today at a cost of £388 and wanted to check if it was me. Needless to say no such transaction by me...... they had sent a message to the 'action centre' on my computer and they would wait on the line while I checked .... I thanked her politely and terminated the call (at least it was a change from my internet provider has been compromised!)

Same as someone else. Asian voice firstly saying he was from Amazon and someone had tried to buy something on my account. Scary thing was he gave me a name of someone I knew, but it’s a very common name. Later in conversation he said he was from Cyber Security. Wanted me to sign into my Amazon Account. So I put the phone down.

Just had them phone asking if I had ordered a smartphone. Not sure of their angle just told them no I had not. When they asked what was on my computer I told them nothing except work so they said maybe someone had a tablet/ iphone etc and to check with them. They did not seem to want to hack my details never asked anything that would give them any information or access. Just a bit strange.

Received a call from an Asian man who said he was ringing from Amazon and asked me to check my emails. I was suspicious and said I was busy but give me your number I will ring you back, then he hung up. I have Facebooked the number to warn people it is a scam. Will email Amazon and tell them.

    Foreign sounding male person
Saying he was from Amazon. There was a purchase made with my account and I should log into my account and make checks whilst he holds the line. Informing him that he was fraud and will be reported to the place did little to deter him. He responded by saying 'police, cannot trace me' or something similar. At which point, I ended the call.

Very obvious scammer claiming to be from Windows support, just after he had called from another number and I'd hung up on him!
