Haven't answered the calls, missed the first call (at 2pm), ignored the second (at 4pm) - so checked out the number on this site first - lo and behold, seems it's a scam! Thank you, unknownphone.com users, for the heads-up.

I received a call from this number early this morning and on answering the phone wearily and half asleep I realised it was a number I've been blanking for weeks and weeks, anyhow a very pleasant Asian man started explaining I had won £30 worth of petrol vouchers all I had to do was give my credit card details to pay £2:80 which covers p&p to receive this wonderful gift. Suspecting that something smelled a bit fishy I replied by saying "how about you just send me £20 worth of vouchers and the extra £10 voucher can be forfeited to cover p&p and you can send them to a p/o box I use for some of my correspondence. Now on hearing this mr Raag Patel or whatever his name was got very angry and aggressive and demanded I give my full details or else, "or else what" I replied sarcastically (he continued to use some despicable threats) To which I replied, "have you heard of the call tracker app, well I'm using it now to record and trace this call and when I get to work this morning which happens to be Scotland Yard, I will be pursuing this with our full resources, now I suggest you keep talking as I'm building up an air tight case against you"Lets just say he hung up immediately and the calls have ceased to continue! Ha ha ha, if only he new I work in ASDA!!!!!!!!

Got a call today from them saying that because I'd filled in an online survey (which I hadn't) I was entitled to £30 of fuel vouchers. They's come in 3 x £10 vouchers, 1 to be used straight away and the others to be used within 40 days.
The bloke (Welsh) also said that I'd be entitled to up to 50% of things like Car repairs if I signed up to the magazine he was pushing.
Didn't get to the stage of asking for card details.

Got a call today from them saying that because I'd filled in an online survey (which I hadn't) I was entitled to £20 of fuel vouchers. They's come in 2 x £10 vouchers, 1 to be used straight away and the other to be used within 40 days.
The bloke also said that I'd be entitled to up to 50% of things like restaurant and hotel bills if I signed up to the magazine he was pushing.
Didn't get to the stage of asking for card details.

To all of you who get these type of calls (especially the one's who get repeat calls): Most of the telecoms providers can block this type of number within your phone/broadband package. (You'll need to know the number first (caller display)).
Be very sceptical about ALL phone calls and if your not happy with them, block them.

The TPS system doesn't work very well, especially if the caller doesn't care. These scammers only need to get a few positive responses per day to make it pay. Don't let them have ANY financial details and be rude to them (it makes you feel better)

The other thing to do is ask them to wait a moment, get a whistle, and blow it as hard as you can down the phone. Even if nothing else you'll have wrecked his hearing for a while and that will make you feel better too.

This same number called me this afternoon while I was out walking. I said I wasn't interested in the free petrol vouchers etc that she was saying I'd won and that I didn't want anything to do with the company as I'd been scammed previously. She became very rude and aggressive so I hung up on her. The company is a con and once they have your bank details they'll start taking £79 from your account. They did it to me previously, taking two payments from my account within a few weeks of each other. On a previous occasion, under a different guise, they scammed me of nearly £500 and had it not been for the fact that I contacted the bank, who were very thorough I would not have got any of these payments back. When I chased the 2 payments of £79 I was told by a very snotty woman working for the company that I couldn't have any of my money back but my bank got it all back and said they've got a department just dealing with these kinds of companies who are very pushy and very devious. I'm a pensioner, retired lecturer in Business Studies and have all my wits about me yet I was still scammed by them!
