Yesterday I had an email from VM:
"... some of your personal information, stored on one of our databases has been accessed without permission. Our investigation is ongoing but we currently understand that the database was accessible from at least 19 April 2019 and that the information has been recently accessed ..."
I have blocked this number why is it still able to still getting through?

I have blocked this number on my iphone but they still get through!

Scam don’t answer
Same scammers that operate the similar pone number 08001836409. They pretend to be Virgin Media. Don't fall for this old scam and block the phone number immediately.
This Number ID - XT - claiming to be from Virgin Media.
Most worryingly they had access to very recent changes to my account and were wanting to secure the possibility of reducing my monthly costs even further.
The alarming thing is that my mobile is not a virgin Media number however is my alternative contact number,therefore I can only suspect that the Virgin Media employees located in India are passing on customer account data and issuing details out to be scammed.
This started a couple of days ago and is coupled with +447458333222. In looking for information on the voicemail notification, I inadvertently opened the voicemail and got a far-east recorded voice, which may have made things worse. Blocking the number resulted in no more calls but I get a fresh voicemail every time I switch on the phone. Virgin Mobile have no answer other than permanently disabling voicemail or changing the number, both of which would be inconvenient.
Please STOP. I never asked for this and don’t want to be called at least twice a day. Someone somewhere must be desperate for a job, but I am not desperate to talk to them. They should be jailed along with the other nuisance callers......
I am 79 years old and sick of this number ringing me twice a day every day I do not answer cos I do not have that number in my phone, my grandaughter was here today when it rang she blocked it for me as I did not know how to block numbers, hope that's it

Receiving a call nearly every day from this number. I see here it's a scam number so have blocked it. They still call even without me picking up the call. A real nuisance!!

I got a call 2 weeks ago claiming to be Virgin Mobile offering a phone upgrade. I was initially interested, having an older Virgin Mobile phone as they said there would be no up-front fee several times during the call. At the end of the call they asked for my Debit Card details to collect a £40 up-front fee, at which point I suspected a possible scam and I hung up saying I was not interested. They have made about 30 times unanswered in the last 2 weeks.
