0800 678 3477 rang me on 09/03/22 at 14:23 claiming to be from my bank (Virgin Money). The nature of the call was to check that my contact details were up to date. Then asked me what my occupation was, how I get paid (weekly or monthly), asked my date of birth, asked what my mothers maiden name was and if I was using my account as a business account. So it went from just a supposed quick call to check that my contacts details were up to date to asking sensitive questions, which at that point I ended the call quite quickly. Banks state that they will NEVER ask for your date of birth or mothers maiden name over the phone so on this account I class this as a SCAM phone call.
Said was Yorkshire Bank they wanted me to answer security questions ,had a signature that didn't match mine i declined and hung up.
Phone rang,I answered and they said my name then hung up!!
Why not leave a message? Why phone when all banking is done on line? Try and keep up with the 21st century if it is our bank!
Rang off before I could answer. No message left.
Phoned twice within 30 seconds didn't leave a message.
Left a voice mail saying my PIN number is set to default and must reset now. I have ignored.

Why call and and not leave a message, they were only on for couple of rings by the time I got my phone out of my bag they had hung up. So frustrating
