001 - isnt that an American code? anyway, I picked up the received, said nothing, caller clicked off and I googled the number and found this site. My car bump was over 4 years go with no damage to anyone and I have had these scam calls since using the insurance company's repairer who didnt in fact do the job, as I found out recently. I have had other 001 callers so now dont answer.
How can I stop these calls, I'm getting them on my home number as well as my mobile and my home number is ex-directory?

Had a missed call. We are ex directory and with TPS. No idea who it could be as didn't leave a message. Called back but got the signal for "number not recognised" (as the automatic message was saying it). A little concerned. Liverpool number. Would love to know who this mysterious caller is.
Said they were calling about an accident. I said I had not had an accident recently and they hung up. Obviously trawling for accident compensation claims.
I was told that someone had had an accident with their Bike... said I had no idea what they were talking about and they hung up- sounded Asian.

Got a call from the number, answered but was disconnected, I took a while getting to the phone so could have been a person giving up. Dialled 1471 and got this number - tried to call back and was told the number was invalid
