They claimed they are service Canada that my sin number has been used in criminal activities...

Saying I have 25 bank accounts, mostly in Montreal with over 10 million $ in fraudulent Activity ! Including money laundering and I forget all the other charges. That I would be transferred to the RCMP after the call. He wanted the last 3 digits of my SIN ... address and full name! He wanted to confirm my bank accounts.

Pretending Government of Canada. Stole my $4,300.

A call from this number indicated they were from Service Canada and asserted that I am the victim of fraud and need to act immediately or will be prosecuted. I would not give them any personal information and am tracking down whether this is a legitimate call by contacting Service Canada directly. But I am suspicious.

They called me about my Social Insurance Number but didn't know my name? If you don't know my name, how could you know it is my number (phone, SIN or otherwise)!? I asked where they were calling from as it was very noisy in the background, but during Covid-19 the real CRA is calling from their homes, not a call centre; the answer I was given was "The Ottawa Location". I live in a smaller town than Ottawa, and we have many Service Canada locations, so "The Ottawa Location" not only doesn't narrow it down, but if you were calling from AN Ottawa location, then there is more than one, so you would be more specific, but more importantly you must be there illegally, as they are all shut due to Covid-19. Protect yourselves.

Called with automated message, asked me to press 1. I did out of curiosity. Told me RCMP will be visiting me! HA! I told him the RCMP have nothing to do with me. In fact, I am on a First Nation, and my dad is a police sergeant and I will be calling him to verify that the RCMP is in deed after me. I asked for his name, gave me "Mark Hanson" and then an 1800 number, not the number on my caller ID. Idiots!

Call was from and Asian man claiming to be and RCMP officer claiming that someone had stolen our identity

18006226232 called and usually I do not answer the unknown number but they did not leave a message or anything to introduce themselves. I do not believe they are legit since Canadian Government send a letter and request to call them back if they need to talk to people.
