J'ai reçu un appel de ce numéro qui me disait qu'il y avait des activités frauduleuses avec mon numéro et qu'il est annulé. Je porte plainte.
asked for my personal info about sin. hang ups in less than a minute.
Thank goodness I'm not the only one. I've had multiple calls from them.
I got call from this number claiming service Canada, They asked my name and phone number, I didn't provide anything and told him Stupid guy, he also said stupid guy to me, sounds like fake
It's a scam (saying that the police needs to contact me because of a fraud).
This number keeps calling me I thought it was actually service canada trying to contact me because the name that shows up when they call seems a real number. It says Edmonton hermitage service canada. But after searching this number up here seems like a lot of people are getting a call from them. I blocked them but they still call me. I also never seen a service canada try to contact me at 6 pm. Seems pretty late when office buildings close at 5. This is definitely a scam do not pick up and do not give any information. I will be contacting the real frauds service number to report this number. These people need to go to jail whoever they are.
Claimed fraudulent activity on my SIN number became aggressive and faked a call from the RCMP.
Luckily i didn't provide any info over the phone. Piece of work.
Scam pretending to be Service Canada. Tries to get you to provide your SIN.
Same here, they will cancel my SIN, Thank you, with no sin card I won't pay any taxes
Scam artist using this number to solicit personal information. Robocall. They are using this number and when you are asked to press 1 directed to an operator pretending to be from service Canada telling you your sin number has been compromised. DO NOT give any information to these people. Only wish I hadn't hung up so quick, would have had fun making up some b.s info for them to waste their time with lol
I recieved call from same number saying that there is illegal activity with my sin number
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/portfolio/service-canada/fraud.html
This notice from the Government of Canada confirms that fraudulent calls are being made using this spoofed 1-800 number: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/portfolio/service-canada/fraud.html
A spoofed number means scammers call you from a phone number that appears to be legitimate on your call display to disguise where the call is actually originating from.

they called me today saying that they were going to cancel my SN number??.. is that even possible?.. NOT!! BE careful.. total Scam..
First they insisted they didn'tcall me. Then the conversation went like this:
"Can I have your Sin?"
"No. I don'tgive that information over the phone."
"Why not?"
"That's how identity theft happens."
Then they hing up on me.
