I also received several voicemails today saying IRS has a lawsuit against me and need to call asap...
I called it back, a man with a thick asian accent answered and says hello is this (my name). I said yes, he proceeded to tell me he was from the IRS and that the someone was filing a lawsuit against me and was coming to arrest me and going to take my income tax, state and federal. Do I want them to help assist me in this matter? I said that is impossible, I havent worked in years and he said how many I said since 2008 and I have cancer so I wont be working any time soon. He said oh, let me get your file and I will call you back. I'm guessing he put me in the do not call pile. I am also betting this is a new form of identity theft.
7/17/3015 Received a voice mail message stating the IRS was sueing us.
called back, told them i knew it wasnt the IRS, because i got ahold of someone immediately and they were morons. they hung up on me, how rude
this is a scam....called saying IRS has a law suit against me.....I called back during regular hours and just got a busy signal...then I called late at night and got a generic VM so I laid into them stating that this was a scam and the police have been contacted......
An automated voice staying it was an emergency and please call the agency immediately. My mother is in a nursing home and is dying so I immediately thought this could have have some connection to Hospice. I called the number and got a busy signal. I should have checked the number out first but I didn't. I googled the number and was able to find out this is nothing more than a scam. Normally I don't let my guard down but due to the timing I thought the worst. I'm not happy but I will defiantly check it out first the next time.
Same as the others voice mail saying is I R S is puting a lawsuit against me.
